Join our growing team! ChristianaCare is seeking an Adult-Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our expanding Inpatient Neurology team!
Our exceptional and diverse team works together to care for patients within the hospital with a variety of neurologic diseases. Our primary Stroke service located in our award-winning Comprehensive Stroke Certified hospital on the Newark, DE campus of our hospital system. Additionally, our neurology consultative service cares for patients within hospitals at both our Newark and Wilmington Campuses.
The Neurology providers work together with a multidisciplinary team including Neurohospitalists, Vascular Neurologists, NeuroInterventionalists, NeuroIntensivists, and a variety of outpatient sub-specialty Neurologists to care for a variety of patients including those with acute ischemic stroke, neuro-immunologic disease, seizure/epilepsy, encephalopathy, migraine, neuromuscular disease, and other neurologic conditions.
The ideal candidate for this position is comfortable working independently, while in collaboration the Neurohospitalist or Vascular Neurologist, to perform direct medical management of Neurology patients while utilizing approved protocols, procedures, and expert consultation after a well-rounded and comprehensive orientation. Qualified candidates will have prior Neurology experience though we have experience with onboarding new providers and welcome new graduates to apply.

Position Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant or Adult-Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program required.
- Must be certified or eligible for certification by either the NCCPA or ANCC
- License or license eligible in the State of Delaware, including prescriptive authority and DEA.
- Previous Advanced Practice Provider experience preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certification preferred.
